“Moata” Center: Unprecedented settlement surge in West Bank; 770,000 settlers with rising violence

WEST BANK, Nov. 18 (YPA) – The Palestine Information Center “Moata” revealed on Tuesday an “unprecedented” escalation in settlement activity in the West Bank, indicating that the number of Zionist settlers has reached 770,000 distributed across more than 180 settlements and 265 outposts.

The Center’s statistical report detailed that the Israeli occupation established 770 new settlement outposts since the start of the war on Gaza, marking the largest wave of settlement expansion the West Bank has witnessed in recent years. This reflects a fervent drive to seize more land under the cover of the war.

The center also monitored a dangerous surge in settler violence, recording 4,306 attacks during the same period, which resulted in the killing of 36 Palestinians by Zionist settler gunfire since the war began, indicating organized violence with direct support from the occupation authorities.

“Moata” affirmed that these figures expose a “fierce and systematic” settlement operation aimed at forcibly imposing a new demographic and geographic reality, amid a lack of any international deterrent to stop the settlement machine in the West Bank.
