Guardiola renews criticism of “Gaza massacres”: International community “left Palestine to face its fate”
MADRID, Nov. 17 (YPA) – Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, renewed his strong criticism of the Israeli occupation aggression on the Gaza Strip, stating that “the world left Palestine alone and we did little.”
The Spanish coach’s statements came in an interview with a Catalan radio station, on the eve of the highly anticipated friendly match between the Palestinian national team and the Catalan team, which is expected to see a large public turnout.
Guardiola also harshly criticized political leaders for “standing idly by” in the face of the destruction inflicted upon the Palestinian people, emphasizing the symbolic importance of the match as a message of solidarity.
