SANAA, Nov. 16 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology warned on Sunday a cold wave sweeping mountainous areas of Yemen.
In its weather bulletin, the center clarified that the cold wave would hit the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda, Dhalea, Lahj, Abyan, Ibb, Jawf, Marib, Hadramout, Shabwa, Taiz, Raymah, and Mahweet
The center advised the elderly, children, the sick, and those working during the night and early morning hours to take necessary precautions against the extreme cold.
It called on farmers to take appropriate measures to protect their crops and produce from damage.
The center affirmed that partly cloudy to clear skies on along the western coasts, and partly to mostly cloudy skies along the eastern and southern coasts and the Socotra archipelago, with scattered showers and light to moderate winds over the Socotra archipelago and the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
