Senior Sanaa official condemns Security Council’s double standards

SANAA, Nov. 15 (YPA)- A senior Ansarallah official condemned on Saturday double standards that the Security Council has adapted towards Yemen.

Mohammed al-Farah, an Ansarallah Political Bureau member stated that while Gaza has been subjected to two years of bombardment and siege with American and Western weapons, and the Yemeni people have been under siege for ten years, the Security Council continues to provide the worst example of double standards.

Al-Farah pointed out that the Security Council had spent years turning a blind eye to the genocidal crimes in Gaza, and even supporting the Israeli occupation until its thirst for blood is quenched, and covering up the siege and aggression against Yemen without any moral or legal stance.

He noted that this council had become a platform for sharing Western interests, where human rights are defined as Western human rights, and international interests are reduced to the interests of Washington alone.

“Even worse is the slide of some international organizations in Yemen into dangerous practices that have reached the point of spying for the benefit of the Israeli enemy under the guise of humanitarian work, in a deviation that exposes the extent of Zionist exploitation of UN institutions,” the Ansarallah official added.
