MOSCOW, Nov. 14 (YPA) –The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Thursday evening that a “Su-30” fighter jet crashed during a training mission in the Republic of Karelia, northwest Russia, resulting in the deaths of its crew members.
According to the ministry’s statement, the incident occurred around 7 PM Moscow time when the aircraft was conducting a scheduled training flight with no munitions on board.
It confirmed that the fighter jet crashed in an unpopulated area and it was not carrying any live munitions.
