SANAA, Nov. 10 (YPA) – The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Sanaa government, Abdulwahid Abu Ras, held discussions on Sunday with the Deputy Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Ibrahim Al-Hamli, on ways to enhance and develop joint cooperation, with a particular focus on the humanitarian file.
The meeting primarily focused on the humanitarian work aspects, where both officials stressed the urgent need to correct fundamental failures affecting the performance of some UN-affiliated organizations operating in Yemen.
Both parties underscored the importance for these organizations to adhere strictly to neutral humanitarian principles and completely avoid the politicization of this vital file.
They also emphasized the necessity of strengthening the existing coordination between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Social Affairs, particularly concerning projects implemented by organizations across different governorates.
Abu Ras and Al-Hamli affirmed the commitment of the Sanaa government to provide all necessary facilities for organizations genuinely seeking to support the Yemeni people and contribute to alleviating the suffering resulting from the aggression and siege imposed for the 12th consecutive year.
