CAIRO, Nov. 01 (YPA) – Egyptian officials informed their American counterparts yesterday that the continued absence of a clear US stance on the violations threatens the collapse of the existing agreement, whereas Egyptian concerns are growing over the fate of the Gaza ceasefire agreement due to continued Israeli violations.
Cairo affirmed to Washington that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is planning to resume the war, but this time in a different form and with different objectives, serving his domestic political agenda.
According to an Egyptian source speaking to the Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar, Cairo and Doha have launched a joint diplomatic escalation, driven by fears of renewed fighting and emphasizing that the continuation of the current situation is unacceptable.
The source explained that Israeli pretexts regarding Hamas’s military capabilities no longer convince the mediators, especially since the next phases of the agreement include the surrender of the resistance’s weapons, which negates the need to continue the war.
