Nine Palestinian civilians killed, dozens injured in Israeli airstrikes across Gaza

GAZA, Oct. 29 (YPA) -Several Palestinian civilians were killed and wounded on Tuesday evening in a series of Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, in a new violation of the recently declared ceasefire agreement, The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported

According to the agency, five people were killed when the Israeli occupation army bombed a vehicle on a street in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.

The agency also said that Israeli drone strike targeted the home of the al-Banna family in the al-Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City, resulting in the killing of four people and wounding nine others, including a child and an infant. Several others were missing under the rubble.

Meanwhile, Al-Awda Hospital reported receiving two injuries following an Israeli bombing of a tent west of Al-Zawaida town in the central part of the Strip.

Israeli aircraft also carried out an airstrike inside the Al-Shifa Medical Complex, west of Gaza City.

This came after the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is wanted by the International Criminal Court for war crimes, announced that he had ordered the military to launch immediate and powerful strikes on the Gaza Strip.

The decision followed Israeli claims that Hamas had violated the agreement by returning the remains of a captive killed two years ago, as well as allegations of gunfire targeting Israeli forces in Rafah. Hamas denied the allegations.
