“Israel” launches its first military company to operate in UAE

DUBIA, Oct. 28 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation’s government has approved the establishment of a branch of the Israeli military company Controp, allowing it to operate directly in the markets of Abu Dhabi and neighboring countries.

Under the decision, the new company, to be called Controp (UAE) Limited, would operate within the Abu Dhabi Free Trade Zone (ADGM) and would be wholly owned by Controp.

Its activities would include marketing, sales, maintenance, technical support, and even local production of the company’s photovoltaic systems, according to the Maariv newspaper.

The newspaper stated that the total investment in the company’s establishment and initial stages would reach $30 million, which will be invested from Controp’s shares and shareholders’ loans. The new company’s CEO will be Israeli, and full control will remain with the Israeli parent company.

The Israeli Ministry of Defense indicated that this step was reviewed and approved by the Defense Security Commissioner, and strict oversight mechanisms had been put in place to prevent the transfer of sensitive security information to foreign entities. In addition, complete separation between Controp’s information systems in “Israel” and the new company’s systems in the UAE would be ensured.
