Businessman survives assassination attempt in Aden

ADEN, Oct. 25 (YPA) – Businessman Nasser Al-Swaider, owner of “Al-Amal Complex” in Aden City, southern Yemen, survived an assassination attempt last Friday evening when armed men opened fire on his car while he was returning home.

This assassination attempt comes just days after Al-Swaider was honored by Nayef Al-Bakri, the Minister of Youth and Sports affiliated with the Islah Party in the government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition, in appreciation of his efforts in supporting national teams and developing youth and sports activities.

The gunmen managed to flee the scene, and the details of the incident remain murky amidst circulating accusations pointing to elements within the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) as being behind the attack.
