LONDON, Oct. 25 (YPA) – A report by “The Guardian” newspaper stated that the International Centre of Justice for Palestinians (ICJP) in Britain has launched a campaign to bring private prosecutions against British citizens who fought alongside the Israeli occupation forces in Gaza, alleging their participation was unlawful.
The Centre, which has gathered evidence against more than 10 British citizens, submitted an application for a summons against one individual to a Magistrates’ Court last Monday.
The human rights organization relies on Section 4 of the Foreign Enlistment Act of 1870, which criminalizes accepting or agreeing to military service for any foreign state at war with another foreign state with which Britain is at peace.
