GAZA, Oct. 25 (YPA) – Director of Medical Relief in Gaza, Dr. Muhammad Abu Afash, said on Saturday that they had hoped to bring in the necessary supplies to the health sector, with the suffering continuing in the Gaza Strip, due to the destruction caused by the Israeli occupation army during its two-year aggression.
Dr. Abu Afash noted in a statement to Al Jazeera TV that primary health services are still faltering due to the continued scarcity of resources, adding that mobile clinics and field hospitals are an urgent necessity for the residents of the Strip.
“We have great hope that the necessary equipment will be brought in, and the Strip will become better than it was,” he continued. “We must establish clear policies to revive the population, especially children.
0n the other hand, the Ministry of Health in Gaza stated that 22 of the 38 hospitals in the Strip have been put out of service due to Israeli attacks, amid a near-total collapse of the health system.
Since the start of its genocidal war on the Strip on October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation army has deliberately targeted Gaza’s hospitals and health system, putting most of them out of service, endangering the lives of patients and the wounded.
