US ambassador to pro- coalition government appears in “Israel” after high-level meetings

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Oct. 24 (YPA) -The United States Ambassador to the government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition in Aden, Steven Fagin, appeared in “Israel” following meetings he held with members of Presidential Leadership Council over the past two weeks.

The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that Ambassador Fagin visited the headquarters of the US Central Command (CENTCOM) in Kiryat Gat, in the occupied Palestinian territories, accompanied by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

According to the report, Secretary Rubio received a security briefing from military generals at the base and met with senior officials of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

The newspaper added that Ambassador Fagin accompanied Rubio during the visit but did not provide further details about the purpose of his presence.

On his account on the social media platform X, Secretary Rubio said that his visit to the US military headquarters aimed to review the implementation of President Donald Trump’s peace plan and to oversee the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Ambassador Fagin’s appearance at the US base in “Israel” followed a series of meetings he held in recent weeks with members of pro-coalition Presidential Leadership Council and pro-coalition military commanders. Those discussions reportedly focused on the ongoing operations by Sana’a forces to restrict Israeli shipping in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea, as well as efforts to ensure the safety of maritime navigation.

According to analysts, the ambassador’s visit to the US base in Israel suggests growing US–Israeli military coordination to launch an attack against Sanaa forces after completing their support and assistance to the people of Gaza over the past two years.
