Gaza Government Media Office: Only 986 aid trucks entered since start of ceasefire

GAZA, Oct. 21 (YPA) – The Government Media Office in Gaza confirmed on Tuesday that only 986 aid trucks have entered the Gaza Strip since the start of the ceasefire (less than 15% of what was agreed), including 14 trucks of cooking gas and 28 trucks of diesel fuel.

The office clarified that this number represents a small fraction of the total 6,600 trucks that were supposed to enter by yesterday evening, Monday, according to the agreement. It indicated that the average daily number of trucks does not exceed 89 trucks only, out of 600 trucks that are supposed to enter daily.

The Media Office stressed that these limited quantities do not cover the minimum humanitarian and living needs, confirming that the Strip is in urgent need of a regular flow of at least 600 aid trucks daily to include food, medical supplies, relief items, operating fuel, and cooking gas.
