ADEN, Oct. 21 (YPA) -A leader of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC), Lutfi Shatara, warned of the imminent complete power blackout in the city of Aden, which is under the control of the Saudi-led coalition. He held all parties responsible, without exception.
“We have now entered the 30th hour without electricity, and there are no signs of any relief in sending emergency fuel shipments to the power plants,” Lutfi Shatara wrote on X.
Shatara emphasized that the ongoing crisis was a collective failure, saying, “I don’t want to delve further into this issue for one simple reason: everyone is involved, without exception, to varying degrees. Everyone bears responsibility for the situation that has led to a complete blackout with no sign of any solution.”
The city of Aden, along with other southern regions, is currently experiencing a severe electricity shortage, with power plants halting operations due to a lack of fuel. Official warnings indicate that services could collapse entirely if immediate action is not taken.
