Hamas confirms commitment to ceasefire agreement, accuses Israeli occupation of “47 documented violations”

GAZA, Oct. 19 (YPA) – Izzat al-Rishq, a member of the Political Bureau of the Hamas movement, confirmed on Sunday that the movement is fully committed to the ceasefire agreement, accusing the Israeli occupation of continuing to violate the deal and fabricating flimsy pretexts to justify its crimes in the Gaza Strip.

In a press statement, Al-Rishq stated that the occupation’s practices reflect its intention to undermine the agreement and shirk its commitments, noting that occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is attempting to evade his obligations under pressure from his far-right coalition.

According to Palestinian sources, the occupation army has committed “47 documented violations” since the announcement of the end of the aggression on Gaza, including shelling residential areas and targeting civilian sites, in clear breach of the terms of the truce agreement.
