Al-Qassam Brigades announces discovery of Israeli prisoner body

GAZA, Oct. 19 (YPA) – The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), found the body of an Israeli prisoner, on Sunday, during ongoing search operations.

In a statement, Al-Qassam Brigades said on Telegram that it will hand over the body today if the field conditions are suitable for that.

The brigades stressed that any Zionist escalation will hinder the search, excavation, and retrieval of bodies, which will delay the occupation’s recovery of the bodies of its dead. This came shortly after Israel announced waging airstrikes and artillery shelling on sites in southern Gaza.

Last night, Al-Qassam Brigades handed over the bodies of two prisoners to Red Cross crews in the Gaza Strip.

Thus, Al-Qassam has handed over 12 bodies of prisoners as part of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement.

As part of this phase, under a ceasefire agreement, the Al-Qassam Brigades released 20 living Israeli prisoners. The agreement stipulates that Al-Qassam will hand over 28 bodies.
