Palestinian Health Ministry receives 15 bodies of martyrs from Israeli occupation; total rises to 150

GAZA, Oct. 19 (YPA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Sunday the receipt of 15 new bodies of martyrs who had been detained by the Israeli occupation authorities, bringing the total number of bodies received since the start of the handover operations to 150.

In a press statement, the ministry clarified that the handover process was facilitated by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), and that medical teams are continuing to process the bodies in preparation for examination, documentation, and delivery to the martyrs’ families.

The statement indicated that some of the bodies bear “clear signs of torture and abuse,” including marks of beatings, bruises, and shackling, reflecting severe violations the martyrs were subjected to.

The handover of the bodies comes amid the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Strip, where the toll of victims has risen to 68,116 martyrs and 170,200 injured, according to the latest statistics from the Ministry of Health.
