GOAM in Sanaa invites public to learn about Yemen’s museums

SANAA, Oct. 18 (YPA) – The General Organization of Antiquities and Museums (GOAM) in Sanaa has invited the public to learn about Yemen’s museums through its website at the link: https://goam.gov.ye/museum.

The Head of the GOAM, Abbad Al-Hayyal, explained that although many Yemeni museums are currently closed or have been targeted, the organization is keen, through this online window, to keep the heritage present and provide an opportunity for everyone to learn about a part of the history and civilization contained within Yemen’s museums.

He indicated that the Museums section on the organization’s website represents a platform for introducing Yemeni museums and the archaeological holdings they contain, which reflect the antiquity and authenticity of Yemen. He noted that work is still ongoing to complete and enrich this section.

Al-Hayyal called on everyone to visit the website and learn about Yemen’s museums.
