GAZA, Oct. 18 (YPA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza Strip announced on Saturday an increase in the number of Palestinian casualties resulting from what it described as the ongoing “Israeli genocide” since October 7, 2023, as the total toll has reached 68,116 martyrs and 170,200 injuries.
The ministry’s daily statistical report clarified that the count includes 120 martyrs whose data has recently been completed and officially approved.
In a related context, the Ministry of Health recorded the martyrdom of 27 citizens since the announcement of the ceasefire and prisoner exchange, in addition to the retrieval of the bodies of 404 martyrs. The ministry also reported that the Strip’s hospitals received 29 martyrs over the past 24 hours, 23 of whom were recovered from under the rubble.
The ministry affirmed that the statistics do not include victims who remain under the rubble, noting the difficulty for ambulance and civil defense crews to reach them. It also mentioned that since the declaration of the ceasefire on October 10, 2025, it has received the bodies of 135 martyrs, held by the occupation army, delivered in four installments.
The ministry appealed to the families of the martyrs and the missing to complete their data to assist in updating the records.
