Armed tribal protests in Taiz condemn execution of prisoner “Al-Afiri” ,demand prosecution of perpetrators
TAIZ, Oct. 15 (YPA) – Districts of Sala, Hayfan, Al-Misrakh, and Al-Murabba Al-Gharbi in the districts of Mawiyah and Al-Ta’iziyah, along with Mirab Square in Maqbanah district, Taiz Governorate, organized on Wednesday armed tribal protests to condemn the crime of the execution of prisoner Issa Muqbil Aun Al-Afiri by Al-Islah Party gunmen.
In a statement issued during the protests, participants expressed their anger at the violations and crimes being committed.
The statement condemned the crime, holding Al-Islah party gunmen and the Saudi regime fully responsible for it, and asserting that its goal is to complicate the prisoners’ file.
The statement called for taking a firm stance and appealed to the UN Envoy and international and local organizations to condemn the crime and pursue its perpetrators.
The protests were attended by official and local leaders, social, military, and security figures, and large crowds of citizens.
