In video: Hadramout residents burn STC slogans

HADRAMOUT, Oct. 14 (YPA) – A number of residents of the city of Seiyun, the center of Hadramout Valley, removed and burned on Tuesday the slogans of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC), which had been risen on electricity poles in the city’s streets.

The residents rejected the presence of the STC slogans on the streets of Seiyun and removed them from in front of the historic Seiyun Palace, a symbol of Hadramout Valley. They then burned them, a scene that reflected the extent of popular rejection.

The protesters affirmed their commitment to national unity and their rejection of any calls or attempts to impose political agendas outside the context of Hadrami consensus.

They emphasized that the province would remain far removed from the regional conflicts that the STC is inciting among its people.
