US to send 200 troops to monitor Gaza ceasefire

WASHINGTON, Oct. 11 (YPA) – The United States plans to establish a coordination center to monitor compliance with the ceasefire agreement between “Israel” and Hamas movement, as well as to supervise the implementation of the prisoner exchange deal, as reported by the Associated Press.

The White House announced that approximately 200 personnel from the U.S. Central Command will be tasked with monitoring the implementation of the “peace agreement.”

In this context, a U.S. official revealed that American forces have begun setting up a coordination center inside “Israel” to support peace efforts in the Gaza Strip.

The official clarified that the forces will be responsible for coordinating the entry of humanitarian aid, and managing the logistical and security efforts associated with the plan. He added, “The first detachments of U.S. forces have already started arriving in Israel, with an expected total of about 200 soldiers.”

The official indicated that the U.S. forces are not expected to be deployed inside the Gaza Strip.
