Zionist settlers attack olive pickers in various areas of occupied West Bank

WEST BANK, Oct. 11 (YPA) – Zionist settlers attacked, on Saturday, olive pickers in various parts of the West Bank in a scene that recurs every olive season. However, this period in particular is witnessing a series of brutal attacks against Palestinian citizens, including direct gunfire, in a blatant exploitation of the state of preoccupation in light of the successive field developments in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

In Salfit, a group of settlers from the pastoral outpost established between the towns of al-Zawiya and Rafat attacked farmer Sadiq Yousef Abu Naba’a and his mother, Hamda Abu Naba’a, in addition to more than twenty farmers, both male and female, from the Abu Naba’a family, and severely beat them.

They vandalized a number of citizens’ vehicles and fired live bullets at them, forcing them to leave their lands.

At the same time, settlers attacked citizens while they were picking olives in Burqa, north of Ramallah. They fired live bullets at them, forced them to leave the area, and seized their equipment.

In Nablus, settlers also attacked olive pickers in the village of Jurish and the town of Aqraba, south of Nablus, under the protection of occupation forces, and prevented them from completing their work on their lands.

It is noteworthy that the settlers carried out a fierce attack yesterday on the lands of the town of Beita, south of Nablus, targeting olive pickers, which resulted in the injury of about 50 citizens with bullets, beatings, and suffocation, and the burning of about 15 vehicles in the area.
