Palestinian detainee dies due to deliberate medical negligence

RAMALLAH,  Oct. 08 (YPA) – A Palestinian detainee on Tuesday died last night  in an Israeli hospital due to deliberate medical negligence, according to the Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Committee and the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society.

They said that they were informed by the General Authority of Civil Affairs that Ahmad Hatem Mohammad Khdeirat, a resident of Adh-Dhahiriya town in Hebron governorate, died in an Israeli hospital.

With the death of 22-year-old Khdeirat, who had been in custody since May 23, 2024, the number of prisoners who died in imprisonment rises to 78 since October 7, 2023.
