QUDS, Oct. 07 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation authorities renewed on Monday the ban on Sheikh Ekrima Sabri, the preacher of Aqsa Mosque, prohibiting him from entering the Mosque for the third time, this time for an additional six months.
Palestinian sources said that the occupation police summoned Sheikh Sabri and handed him a decision barring him from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque and performing prayers there.
This latest ban is part of an ongoing policy targeting religious figures in Occupied Jerusalem and seeking to suppress religious discourse within Aqsa Mosque.
Sheikh Sabri has faced multiple bans and security summonses over the past years due to his outspoken opposition to Israeli incursions into the Aqsa Mosque and his consistent defense of Muslims’ right to pray freely at the holy site.
