SOCOTRA, Oct. 06 (YPA) – Emirati Eastern Triangle Holding Company brought hundreds of foreign tourists, including dozens of Israelis, to the port of Hawlaf in the Yemeni archipelago of Socotra, east of the Gulf of Aden.
Informed sources in Socotra, which has been under the control of Emirati forces since 2018, reported that approximately 400 foreign tourists arrived at Hawlaf Port on Sunday and were transported via rubber dinghies to Hadibo Port, which was unable to accommodate the ship.
They explained that the Eastern Triangle Holding Company “imposed complete control over all services, including fuel, gas, and electricity, provided to the people of Socotra, including air and sea ports and tourism, in a blatant violation of Yemeni sovereignty, amid the silence of the coalition-affiliated government that claims legitimacy in these areas.”
They indicated that the Emirati company is bringing foreign military experts, both American and Israeli, to the island under the guise of tourism, allowing them to enter residential neighborhoods, mingle with citizens, and write suspicious military reports and surveys.
The Eastern Triangle Company had replaced the official approved curricula in recent days with new curricula that enshrine loyalty and belonging to the Emirates, in an attempt to erode the Yemeni national identity and build a generation completely separated from its homeland and identity.
