Wide international condemnation issues against Israeli marine piracy

SANAA, Oct. 02 (YPA) – The Arab and international reactions were issued on Thursday for denouncing the piracy that the Israeli occupation of the ships carried out against the Al – Global Sumud Flotilla heading to the Gaza Strip.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Ireland, Foreign Minister and Defense Minister Simon Harris described the Flotilla which was intercepted by the Israeli occupation in international waters, as a peaceful task aimed at highlighting a horrific humanitarian catastrophe.

For his part, Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albaris said that his country is closely following the stabilization of the resilience fleet that the Israeli navy had intercepted, indicating that the Spanish consulates in the region are in the event of mobilization.

In turn, the Belgian Foreign Minister Maxim Brevo called on the occupying state to respect international law, including maritime law, calling for ensuring the protection of the fleet ships.

As for the Turkish Foreign Ministry, it accused the occupation of committing a terrorist act of objection to the fleet of activists heading to the Gaza Strip and carried by humanitarian aid.

The ministry said in a statement that the attack by Israeli forces in international waters against the fleet of global steadfastness that was on its way to communicate Humanitarian aid to the residents of Gaza is a terrorist act that poses a serious violation of international law and is exposing the lives of innocent civilians to danger.

It added, “We hope that this attack will not harm the efforts to reach a ceasefire in Gaza,” adding that it started taking all necessary measures to ensure the immediate release of their citizens and other passengers who were held by the Israeli forces.

Meanwhile, the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, strongly, the Israeli navy objection to the resilience fleet and the arrest of activists, and described the operation as piracy and terrorism.

The movement said that the attack is a criminal act that requires international condemnation, warning that these practices will increase the anger of the peoples of the world towards.
