NEW YORK, Sept. 25 (YPA) – Chilean President Gabriel Boric called on Thursday for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other senior officials involved in the “genocide” in Gaza Stirp to be brought to trial before the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
Boric made the demand during his speech to the United Nations General Assembly, stating, “I do not want to see Netanyahu and his family torn to pieces by a rocket attack. Instead, I want to see those responsible for the genocide against the Palestinian people stand before the ICJ.”
The Chilean president likened the situation in Gaza to the tragedy of the Holocaust, emphasizing that “thousands of innocent people are losing their lives simply because they are Palestinian, just as millions lost their lives 80 years ago because they were Jewish.”
Boric also described the crisis in Gaza as a “global humanitarian crisis,” stressing that the “pain of children under the rubble is real pain in our country.” He underscored the need to transform “the motives of hatred into a desire for justice.”
