Israeli shelling escalates in Gaza, leaving 51 Palestinians dead in one day

GAZA, Sept. 24 (YPA) – Palestinian medical sources have reported that the number of casualties in the Gaza Strip has risen to 51, with 36 of them in Gaza City alone, as a result of continuous Israeli occupation shelling since Wednesday morning.

According to the sources, the occupation forces committed a massacre in Gaza City by targeting municipal warehouses sheltering displaced people, leading to the death of 22 individuals, including nine children and six women.

Additionally, five Palestinians were killed in the Al-Sabra neighborhood in southern Gaza after a house belonging to the Al-Hamas family was targeted. The shelling of a home belonging to the Khattab family in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip resulted in the deaths of four people. In the same camp, a woman was killed after the bombing of the Nassar family’s home.

In the city of Rafah, located in the southern part of the strip, eight Palestinians waiting for humanitarian aid were shot and killed by occupation forces in the Al-Shakoush area. Four other civilians were also killed in various areas throughout the strip.

Israeli artillery and aerial bombardments continue across different parts of Gaza City, with heavy drone presence in the skies.
