Gaza Ministry of Health: Death toll from Israeli aggression rises to over 65,000

GAZA, Sept. 20 (YPA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Saturday that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression has risen to 65,208, with 166,271 injured since October 7, 2023.

In its daily statistical report, the ministry stated that 34 new martyrs (including 3 retrieved from rubble) and 200 new injuries arrived at Gaza’s hospitals over the past 24 hours. A number of victims remain under the rubble and on the roads, as ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to reach them.

The ministry also noted that the number of casualties from aid-related incidents reached 4 martyrs and 18 injured in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of “livelihood” martyrs who have arrived at hospitals to 2,518.

Additionally, two deaths from famine and malnutrition were recorded, raising the total number of such deaths to 442, including 147 children. Since the IPC’s famine declaration in Gaza, 164 deaths have been recorded, 32 of them children.
