Cairo warns “Israel” against violating its sovereignty, threatening with military response

CAIRO, Sept. 19 (YPA) – Recent Israeli media reports by Yedioth Ahronoth and the website Netziv Net have sparked widespread outrage in Cairo.

The reports speculated about the possibility of Israel carrying out assassinations of Palestinian figures on Egyptian soil and the potential for a war between Cairo and Tel Aviv.

Egyptian political, military, and media figures issued strong warnings to “Israel,” emphasizing that “any violation of Egyptian sovereignty will be met with a decisive response.”

Mustafa Bakri, an Egyptian journalist and parliamentarian, warned, saying, “Egypt is not an open field … If you cross our borders, you will find us in Tel Aviv.”

Major General Mohamed El Shahawy, a member of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs, affirmed that the Egyptian army possesses deterrent capabilities and that any assassination would be met with a direct military response targeting vital Israeli sites.

Experts considered the Israeli reports to be part of a “calculated psychological war,” stressing that Egypt retains its full sovereign right to protect its national security and support the Palestinian people.

Collectively, these Egyptian warnings send a clear message to “Israel” that any breach of boundaries within Egypt will result in an open confrontation.
