Gold prices continue to soar in Yemen, reaching record highs in Sanaa, Aden

SANAA, Sept. 17 (YPA) – Gold prices in Yemen are continuing their upward trend, setting new records in the markets of Sanaa and Aden, with notable increases over the past hours.

In Aden, the price of a gold pound has surpassed 1,369,000 Yemeni Rials (YER), while a gram of 21-carat gold has reached over 171,000 YER. This reflects a significant increase of 53,000 YER for the gold pound and 6,000 YER for the gram in just 24 hours. Cumulatively, gold has risen by approximately 230,000 YER per pound and 30,000 YER per gram in Aden since the beginning of September.

In the markets of Sanaa, the price of a gold pound has reached 436,000 YER, and a gram of 21-carat gold is now at 56,000 YER. The daily increase amounted to 3,000 YER for the pound and 500 YER for the gram. Since the start of the month, prices have risen by 27,000 YER for the pound and 2,000 YER for the gram.
