MADRID, Sept. 15 (YPA) – Protesters in solidarity with Palestine halted the Vuelta a España race after blocking the main road in central Madrid in a protest rally against the participation of an Israeli team and the ongoing war on Gaza.
In the rally, the protesters raised a banner denouncing the “genocide in Gaza” and refusing to allow the Israel Premier Tech team to participate. The demonstrations disrupted the race.
This comes as part of a series of pro-Palestinian actions that have been repeated throughout the competition, with social activists raising flags and banners to express their protest.
Since March 2, the Zionist enemy has closed the Gaza Strip’s crossings to the entry of food, relief, medical aid, goods, and fuel, causing a significant deterioration in the humanitarian situation.
