Al-Quds Brigades destroy Israeli Merkava tank in northern Gaza

GAZA, Sept. 14 (YPA) – The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, claimed responsibility for destroying an Israeli Merkava 4 tank north of Gaza City on Sunday evening.

In a brief statement, the Brigades said that its fighters were able to detonate a pre-planted anti-tank explosive device during an incursion by occupation forces into the vicinity of the Yaziji Hall in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, directly destroying the tank.

This attack comes within the framework of the ongoing field operations of the Palestinian resistance factions against the occupation forces, which continue their incursions into a number of neighborhoods in Gaza City, amid escalating armed clashes and intensifying Israeli airstrikes.

The occupation army has not yet issued an official comment on the operation or the extent of its losses as a result of the attack.
