2.4 magnitude earthquake strikes Taiz

TAIZ, Sept. 12 (YPA) – A mild earthquake measuring 2.4 on the Richter scale struck on Friday the Mawza’a district of Taiz province.

Head of Earthquake and Volcano Monitoring and Study Center in Dhamar, Mohammed Hassan Al-Houthi,  said that the earthquake occurred at 2:51 a.m.

He explained that the earthquake happened 60 km south of the province, without recording any human or material losses.

Al-Houthi added that monitoring stations also recorded an earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale in Djibouti at 8:55 a.m.
