WEST BANK, Sept. 07 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces stormed cities in the West Bank early Sunday, September 7, 2025, including Ramallah, Nablus, Jenin, and Hebron.
Clashes broke out between Israeli forces and young Palestinians in the village of Beit Rima near Ramallah. Meanwhile, Zionist settlers fired live ammunition at citizens’ homes and set fire to agricultural lands in Hebron.
Attacks in Hebron and Ramallah
Israeli occupation forces used stun grenades and tear gas during their incursion into the Lower Ramallah area. They also raided the Balata and Ein refugee camps in Nablus.
In the Khillet al-Ais area of the village of Shuyukh, northeast of Hebron, two Palestinians were shot by settlers who also set fire to citizens’ lands. According to local sources, the settlers fired live ammunition at homes and torched agricultural areas, all while being protected by Israeli forces.
Dozens of settlers, heavily guarded by Israeli forces, had previously stormed the Old City of Hebron. Sources said Israeli forces closed the entrances to the town, preventing citizens from reaching the Ibrahimi Mosque to pray. They added that settler incursions, which are accompanied by the closure of shops and increased military presence in the Old City, occur every Saturday.
In Wadi al-Saba, northwest of Hebron, settlers assaulted six members of the family of the martyr Marwan al-Qawasmi and prevented ambulance crews from reaching them. According to Sherif al-Qawasmi, the eldest son, Israeli forces raided the area and detained the family for hours before handing them over to the Red Crescent, who took them to Hebron Hospital for treatment.
Raids in Jenin and Qalandia
Israeli occupation forces continued to raid homes in and around the Jenin refugee camp, turning the city into a military barracks under the pretext that the homes are in areas of military operations.
In occupied East Jerusalem, local sources reported that Israeli forces raided the Qalandia refugee camp. They also said that at least 16 citizens were arrested overnight in a wide-ranging campaign in the town of Anata.
The Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority, a governmental body, monitored about 1,613 attacks by the Israeli army and settlers against Palestinians and their property in August, including 431 committed by settlers.
