KABUL, Sept. 01 (YPA) – The German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ) said a 6.0-magnitude earthquake struck southeastern Afghanistan on Sunday, killing at least 622 people and injuring more than 1550.
The center said the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers, and hundreds are feared dead.
In October 2023, an earthquake struck Herat province in western Afghanistan, killing at least 2,400 people.
