193 university professors, 800 teachers have been martyred in Gaza Strip since October 7

GAZA, Aug. 28 (YPA) – The Palestine Information Center (Ma’ti) confirmed, on Thursday, that 193 university professors and 800 teachers have been martyred by Israeli army shelling and fire since October 7, 2023.

In a statement, the center said that the Gaza Strip is suffering from a continuous hemorrhage of scientific talent as a result of the ongoing crime of genocide, starvation war, and siege pursued by the Israeli enemy, noting that some of the academic martyrs were martyred inside enemy prisons.

The Israeli occupation army has continued to commit crimes of genocide, siege, and starvation in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023 with American and European support.

This has resulted in the martyrdom of 62,966 Palestinian civilians, the majority of whom are children and women, and the injury of 159,266 others, to date, in a non-final toll, as thousands of victims are still under the rubble and on the streets, unable to be reached by ambulance and rescue crews.
