OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Aug. 27 (YPA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Wednesday that the total number of “livelihood martyrs” who have reached hospitals has risen to 2,158, while the number of wounded reached more than 15,843.
In a statement, the ministry said that 18 of these deaths and 106 of the injuries occurred in the past 24 hours as people were attempting to obtain aid.
Gaza hospitals also recorded 10 new deaths from famine and malnutrition in the last 24 hours, including two children. This brings the total number of hunger-related deaths to 313, of whom 119 are children.
The hunger crisis in the Gaza Strip is worsening, and international organizations are struggling to find a mechanism to deliver aid, medicine, and nutritional supplements for starving children due to imposed Israeli occupation policies, a situation that threatens the lives of thousands.
Attacks by the Israeli enemy on Palestinians waiting for aid have continued daily since the “Israeli-American” mechanism, overseen by the so-called “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation,” was implemented on May 27.
