Massive protest in Dallas condemns Israeli crimes against Palestinians

DALLAS, Aug. 18 (YPA) – Dallas, Texas, saw a massive demonstration protesting the Israeli occupation’s crimes against Palestinians, in light of the systematic starvation policy against the people of the Gaza Strip.

The participants condemned the recent statements by Israeli Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, in which he threatened imprisoned leader Marwan Barghouti after storming his cell a few days ago.

They considered these threats to be part of the general ill-treatment of prisoners in Israeli prisons.

The protest included a number of doctors and academics who had previously visited the Gaza Strip and volunteered to provide humanitarian and health assistance to its people. In their speeches, they emphasized the need for continued popular and international support for Palestinian rights.

The demonstrators emphasized that the voice of the “American street” must be more vocal in pressuring political institutions to halt Israeli violations and support the pursuit of freedom and justice for the Palestinian people.
