SANAA, July 29 (YPA) – At least three people were killed and seven others injured on Saturday late night in a shooting attack in the US city of New Orleans late Saturday evening, US officials said.
According to the New Orleans Police Department, gunmen fired bullets at a crowd in the Central City neighborhood at about 8:35 p.m. local time.
The shooting took place about three miles southwest of the French Quarter and Bourbon Street, the police added.
Three were killed at the scene of the crime and seven were taken to local hospitals and their condition is still unclear, the police said.
“There is no place in New Orleans for this kind of violence,” New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell said on her twitter account, adding that “I speak for everyone in our City when I say we are disgusted, we are infuriated, and we have had more than enough.
The official said there was no further information or details on the incident and the identity of the attackers.
