KHARTOUM, Aug. 07 (YPA) – The Sudanese Civil Aviation Authority announced on Wednesday that Emirati authorities have banned Sudanese aircraft from landing at UAE airports, a move considered the latest sign of ongoing tensions between the two countries.
The authority explained in a statement carried by the official Sudanese News Agency (SUNA) that “the Civil Aviation Authority and Sudanese airlines were surprised by the decision of the UAE authorities to ban Sudanese airlines from landing at Emirati airports, in addition to preventing a Sudanese airline from taking off from Abu Dhabi Airport.”
