Gaza’s health ministry reports 5 medical facilities have closed, warning all hospitals may shut down within 24 hours
GAZA, July 22 (YPA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Tuesday evening the suspension of services at Al-Khidma General Hospital, the Oxygen Station, Al-Salam Clinic, and the Al-Jalaa and Haidar Abdul Shafi centers due to the depletion of fuel necessary to operate these facilities.
In an urgent statement, the ministry attributed this shutdown to the continued blockade imposed by the Israeli occupation, which has prevented the entry of fuel into the region. It warned that all remaining hospitals in Gaza could cease operations entirely within just 48 hours if the situation persists.
This development comes amid what has been described as a deliberate policy of starvation by the Israeli occupation, which continues to enforce a tight siege on Gaza, blocking the entry of fuel and humanitarian aid.
Large parts of the Strip are witnessing mass displacement, exacerbated by severe hunger and the spread of disease. These conditions are intensifying the escalating health and humanitarian crisis, posing a serious threat of total collapse to all aspects of life in the area.
