Death toll from “death traps” rises to 995

GAZA, July 20 (YPA) – The media office in the Gaza Strip announced the death toll resulting from the Israeli occupation army’s targeting of civilian gathering sites for humanitarian aid, particularly in the northern Gaza Strip.

Since May 27, 2025, statistics have recorded 995 martyrs, 6,011 wounded, and 45 missing, the majority of whom are children, women, and the elderly.

The Director General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza confirmed that hospitals received 86 martyrs on Sunday alone, including 76 from the northern Gaza Strip, and more than 150 wounded, some of them critical, amid a stifling medical crisis and severe shortages of medical supplies.

These crimes are part of a series of violations committed by the Israeli occupation against civilians in the besieged Gaza Strip, targeting queues of people waiting for hours to receive limited quantities of food and water, revealing the depth of the worsening humanitarian catastrophe.
