Hamas welcomes Hague Group decision to impose sanctions on Israeli occupation

GAZA, July 19 (YPA) – Hamas movement welcomed on Saturday the decision Hague Group in Support of Palestine issued imposing sanctions on the Israeli occupation.

This decision came during its meeting in the Colombian capital, Bogota, for a ban on the supply of arms and ammunition, a review of existing agreements, and facilitating international investigations into crimes committed in the Gaza Strip.

In a press release, the movement considered this position a vivid expression of the free global conscience that rejects the war crimes and brutal violations have been committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, which is witnessing an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe due to mass massacres, starvation, siege, and the denial of basic necessities of life.

The statement emphasized that Hague Group’s steps reflected a tangible shift in the positions of a number of governments and international institutions toward supporting the rights of the Palestinian people and pressuring the occupation to halt its ongoing aggression.

It called on all countries of the world to take urgent action to form the broadestinternational front to isolate the occupation, expose its crimes, and impose further punitive measures, leading to an end to the ongoing aggression against Palestinian civilians.
