SANAA, July 13 (YPA) – Demonstrators in the German capital, Berlin, faced excessive police violence for protesting against the genocidal war waged by Israel against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Hundreds of protesters gathered in Berlin’s Neptune Square in solidarity with Palestine against the genocidal war that Israel has been continuing in Gaza since October 2023.
The protesters raised Palestinian flags and banners with slogans such as “This is not a war, it’s genocide,” “Boycott Israel,” “Stop arming Israel,” “The children of Gaza want life,” and “Israel is a terrorist child killer.”
The protest coincided with tight security measures taken by the police, who arrested a number of demonstrators before using violence against them later.
The excessive police violence resulted in the injury of a demonstrator, who was transferred to the hospital after receiving first aid at the scene.
