Hodeidah local authority condemns targeting of water wells project

HODEIDAH, July 28 (YPA) – The local authority in Hodeidah province condemned on Friday the continuation of the US-backed Saudi-led coalition in targeting civilian areas and residential neighborhoods, the latest of which was the bombing of water wells in Hodeidah with several air raids.

In a statement, the local authority said that these criminal and systematic acts committed by the coalition against the Yemeni people daily are constituted a flagrant violation of international and humanitarian norms and laws.

The statement pointed to the intent of the countries of coalition to target the capabilities of Yemeni people and its infrastructure, including targeting the port of the fishing port in Hawk district on Friday with four raids.

The local authority blamed the United Nations and the Security Council for their silence and disavowed them from carrying out their duty to stop the coalition war, which encouraged the States of coalition to continue committing  further crimes of genocide against civilians.
