Israeli occupation forces escalate their aggression against West Bank, occupied Quds (Jerusalem)

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, July 08 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation forces launched a large-scale campaign of raids and incursions in various areas of the occupied West Bank, resulting in the arrest of 16 Palestinian citizens, amid an ongoing escalation against Palestinians, especially in occupied Jerusalem.

Local sources reported that the occupation forces stormed several towns and camps, during which they carried out raids and house searches, accompanied by confrontations and attacks on citizens amid an ongoing field escalation throughout the West Bank.

In occupied Jerusalem, the occupation authorities continued their Judaization policies, storming the town of Anata, northeast of the city, and proceeded to demolish a building under construction in the Salam suburb, which included 15 shops and eight residential apartments belonging to Palestinian citizens, on the pretext of building without a permit, according to the Palestinian Prisoners Club.

For its part, the Jerusalem Governorate confirmed that the occupation had issued a decision more than a year ago prohibiting the completion of construction on the site, noting that the demolition operation comes within the framework of a systematic policy aimed at restricting Palestinians and their urban expansion in the city.

Palestinians warn that these measures are part of a broader Israeli plan to impose a new demographic and geographic reality in Jerusalem, by displacing the Palestinian population and intensifying settlement activity in its surroundings.
