JMP condemns targeting Zabid, water wells, radio in Hodeidah

SANAA, July 28 (YPA) – The Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) condemned the targeting of the US-backed Saudi-led coalition warplanes the historic city of Zabid, which is one of the oldest Islamic universities, water wells and radio in Hodeidah province.

In a statement, the JMP called on the organizations concerned with the World Heritage to denounce and hold the coalition the responsible for obliterating Yemen’s historical and cultural heritage.

The statement warned of the catastrophic effects of the attack on the water wells in the Bayda field area, which called the Russian field and the Korean field near the city of Hodeidah, which consists of 22 wells feeding the city with water, pointing out that the aim of forced to displace  residents from their homes.

The statement condemned the targeting of the radio station building in Hodeidah, calling on international organizations, human rights, relief and all the staff on the humanitarian side to get down to the province of Hodeidah and the coast to see the extent of suffering and the obstruction in the port due to the aggression and siege.

The JMP confirmed that this systematic criminal targeting of Hodeidah, the port and the coastal and infrastructure administrations is aimed at thwarting the efforts of political solutions.
